Life happens.

So I’ve been very quiet for the last year on Facebook and for about 2 years on this blog. I’ve done a few things during that time.

I moved to Squamish. I love Squamish. The people are open and friendly, the markets are welcoming, and don’t even get me started on the mountains. The beautiful mountains halfway between Vancouver and Whistler. I made a few really good friends, my son started kindergarten and had an awesome caring teacher, the other moms of the class were awesome too.

I had a baby. I gave birth to my second child February 7, 2017. I adore her, she is adored by many. She is a constant joy to all of us and is now a toddler and has been toddling along like a drunken sailor for the last couple weeks. It’s been a joy to spend my maternity leave cuddling her and my son.

I moved home. Real estate prices became very unrealistic. Over the course of the 2 years I was in Squamish real estate doubled in price and has effectively doubled again since I left in May. We moved back to my hometown of Vanderhoof and we bought a house. It’s small but cozy and we love it. It’ll take a bit of TLC but it’s ours.

I guess what I’m trying to say that we never know where life takes us. Life is a journey. Enjoy it.
